My cousin is getting married. Congrats! I got to meet the bride-to-be during a sunny July afternoon in New York City this summer.

My cousin Craig lives in one of the coolest apartments in Manhattan, nestled in the heart of Washington Heights. His eye for design is so nice. He starts at FIT in the fall, where he'll be studying photography. Must be in our genes. In the meantime, I think he should get a show on HGTV. I'd be watching! Great to see you, cuz.

Yesterday morning I woke to the sound of birds chirping and the heat of the sun streaming through two giant windows. I woke up in the Lower East Side and, much to my surprise, it was peaceful. New York City, you aren't so bad after all.
