the rococo

On a whim, I saw Pete Yorn perform last night. The light was pretty. So was the music.

arena eats

The Devaney Center is home to the Big Red Dog - hot dog, that is. I wasn't brave enough to eat one, but my buddy enjoyed his Clifford down to the last bite. I went for the sausage and saved room in my belly for the homemade cookies. The cookie monster would have loved them.

The day would have been better with a Missouri win, but I can't complain. The game was close until the end.

visiting home

More than 20 years ago I lived in this house. The fence wasn't there, nor the tacky yard decorations. The train tracks that ran 10 feet from the house are gone. A trail sits in their place. I don't remember the big tree that's now in the front yard, but I do know that I learned to walk in front of this house. I played with a Slinky in the big back yard. I visited our neighbors and their pet turtles. I called this place home.

nebraska nicknames
