a day with(out) sunshine

It's like a day without sunshine.

It's an expression we often use. So what then is a day without sunshine like? A pirate without treasure? A marriage without love? A salad without lettuce? A photographer without a camera? Or is it, simply, a day without sunshine. A cloudy day. A day without shadows.

Today I'm happy to report a day with sunshine.

For the record, the best salad I ever fixed myself: mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, cheese, cucumber, sweet corn, mango and a tiny bit of habanero, all diced and tossed and a vinaigrette with loads of black pepper.

No lettuce.
