If you don't have plans tomorrow night, swing by the May Gallery at Webster University for the Annual Photography Faculty Exhibition. Here's a sneak peek of the piece I put in this year's show.
The pictures are from my summer trip to Ecuador. The frame is an old window I bought at ReStore for $5. I scrubbed the frame down and sprayed it twice with a clear, flat sealant to protect the gallery goers from the lead paint ; ) I spent 98 cents on the two eye hooks on the top and got the twine from a friend. Total cost of project = $9 plus change. I need to do pieces like this more often.
Hope to see you tomorrow!

inspiring idea elie... did you put the images behind the glass of the window? how did you hold them flush against it? so so cool... wish i could go!
Yeah,I'm like Katie, I want to know how you attached the pictures. Indeed, very cool.
Beautiful photographs and awesome frame.
a great idea - i will have to give this a try
Nice work Elie. I second Sairen's curiosity. Did you remove the glass or no?
Glass is still in the frame, and in person the frame is sooo much cooler. The wood is distressed beautifully. The glass had a strange texture pattern on the backside too that adds an artistic element, in my opinion. As for attaching the photos...easy...the answer to every question: duct tape.
