In St. Louis we had a portion of a major highway shut down. My first three days back in the field I was up at the crack of dawn to cover the result - traffic (or, some days, the lack there of). I tried this different approach on day three, and it actually ran in the paper. I was surprised. And happy.

I saw this metro cover, and I have to admit, I thought it was an illustration. I don't know if it was the lack of border around it or what, but it took me a long time to realize this was an actual photo. :)
